Why IP?
There are several advantages of an IP telephone system over a traditional PBX

• Single infrustructure to maintain. No longer to you have to maintain one cabling infrustructure for your telephone system, and another for your data network (not to mention your surveillance system that can also be integrated into your data network). Reduced infrastructure adds up to cost savings.
• Ease of administration. How often do you move, add, or change phones? How often does that require going to a wiring closet, tracing down cable pairs, and punching down new copper? With an IP solution, you log in to a web interface, click a few buttons, and you're done.
• Reduced long distance. In a multi-branch environment, you can utilize your data connection between branches to eliminate branch to branch long distance. Not only that, but using "least cost routing" you can call a customer in another city (where you have a branch office) and the call will be routed through the local branch saving long distance costs even when calling customers.
